So my husband is obsessed with Italian dressing and I couldn't deal with him buying Kraft anymore. To be honest, I bought an organic brand but $7 a bottle is pretty steep when you eat as much salad as we do!
I made this recipe as a catch-all recipe. It's a great salad dressing but also an awesome marinade for chicken or shrimp! It has some zip from the vinegar and some heat from the chili flakes. Such a great combo! Let me know what you think!!
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 cup avocado (or olive) oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp mustard powder (or 1 tsp Dijon mustard)
1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp red chili flakes
1. Place all ingredients into a mason jar and shake it like a Polaroid picture!
